Laceroot Forest

This design is a loveletter to the forests that have grown and shaped me, they’re endlessly fascinating twists and wisps and strength has always moved me and I love the feeling of being lost in the trees. I find a similar joy and wonder in textiles and the intricate patterns of handwoven lace , which have been a huge source of inspiration. I painstakingly translated these two loves into this large scale drawing all done with India ink and a calligraphy pen. The drawing was made in 2017 for a large scale screenprinting project in which I only ever made one print. This image has haunted me all these years and I am so thrilled to finally be rereleasing it and to be able to share it.

All clothing printed has been upcycled, cleaned and given another chance at life
